St Austell is Cornwall's largest town and is home to;
The Cornish Alps, The Eden Project, St Austell Brewery,
White River Place shopping arcade and much more.
A bustling market town that is renown for it's clay workings,
discovered by William Cookworthy in 1755. St Austell dates back to 1189 and originally it served as a centre for the farming community. It soon became an industrial centre too when metals such as tin and copper were discovered on the hills around St Austell.
Recently St Austell has been subject to vast investment over the last few years; the new shopping arcade White River Place has transformed the centre of the town as well as bringing in new businesses and brand names. The investment was much needed in all honesty, it's the largest town in Cornwall and the shopping centre & facilities are now attracting new visitors from all over the county and beyond.
St Austell has a selection of visitor attractions nearby including quaint Charlestown harbour and the internationally renowned Eden Project, but there are many other things to keep you occupied whilst visiting this area of Cornwall.
