Information about the history of Cornwall..

Cornwall, just like it's surroundings, has a rugged history.
The present human history of Cornwall begins with the reoccupation of Britain after the last Ice Age. In the Late Bronze Age Cornwall was part of a maritime trading culture called the Atlantic Bronze Age that also included the other Celtic nations, in modern day England, France, Spain and Portugal.

Cornwall showed a very different type of settlement pattern from that of Saxon Wessex and places continued, even after 1066, to be named in the Celtic Cornish tradition with Saxon architecture being uncommon.

More recently Cornwall has been known for tin mining, it's granite, fishing & shipwrecks, even King Arthur's legend has connections with Cornwall.
